Connection builds confidence

Hi, I’m Char

I am a parent, experienced educator and passionate advocate for student mental health and resiliency. I’ve witnessed firsthand the growing mental health challenges facing young people and it has shaped my compassionate, evidence-based approach to fostering inclusive, emotionally healthy learning environments.

Rooted Together, Children Thrive

Children grow in environments where they feel seen, supported, and connected. Rooted Together unites parents, educators, and communities to nurture inclusive learning spaces through shared resources, open dialogue, and collective care with the goal of raising resilient, compassionate learners equipped to navigate an ever-changing world.

  • “Charlene has a deep compassion for families and a genuine understanding of how complex and demanding parenting is in this day and age. It’s clear that this work is not theoretical for her, she brings the lived experience of raising her own children, and she holds that responsibility with humility and care. Nothing she offers feels rushed or prescribed; everything is grounded, practical, and deeply human.”

    — AARON, PARENT AND MIDDLE SCHOOL EDUCATOR

  • "I cannot thank Charlene enough for loving my child through all the ups and downs to help her succeed. She truly went above and beyond her ‘teacher’ duties to make sure that Olivia didn’t ‘fall between the cracks’. She believed in my child and advocated for her to ensure she was set up for success. To this day, we miss Charlene and wish we could have taken her with us every year so Olivia could have her for a teacher. "
